Kia Ora! I’m Brooke McAlavey.

I major in programming and voice but also DJ in my spare time (mainly drum and bass), which I used alongside my majors to help build aspects of our station.

I'm an enthusiastic, intellectually curious team member who is always eager to contribute to team success through versatility, attention to detail and persistence.

My goal with programming this year was to build a stronger rapport between us and locals. I viewed my connection with local disco and house DJs as the perfect opportunity to bring them in to showcase their work on a Saturday night, which happened to align with our station.

Throw a challenge at me, I am willing to tackle it head on with a lot of laughs along the way.
