There are two steps to applying:

1. Select your chosen specialisation using one of the links below.

You will be taken to an information page where you can APPLY ONLINE.

  • Select the campus location - City Campus, Madras St
  • Select the February start date
  • You will be prompted to create an Ara account. [Remember the password and security information you create!]
  • Complete the Admission and Enrolment form

If you are applying for more than one specialisation:

  • Apply online (as above) and create an Ara account
  • Once submitted, choose another link for your second choice and sign-in to your account
  • Your details will have been saved from your first visit, so simply click through each page, and submit

Once we receive your application, we'll be in touch to schedule a course advisement kōrero to get to know you better and learn about your aspirations for a career in broadcasting. You are welcome to bring along any supporting work that you feel proud of, such as podcasts, stories/essays, photographic work, short films or any creative endeavour that demonstrates your interest in media. This helps us understand you, so we can provide you with tailored advice on your study pathway.

Applicants who meet the requirements for admission are accepted in the order their applications are received, with a proportion of places reserved on the programme for priority learners. In the event that there are more applications than spaces available on the programme, a waitlist will be maintained.

If you have any questions about applying, they may be answered in our FAQ's. If you can't find the answer contact us.
