Apply to study at the New Zealand Broadcasting School
There are two steps to apply to the New Zealand Broadcasting School.
The New Zealand Broadcasting School (NZBS) in Ōtautahi offers hands-on, industry-focused media education with small classes, and strong industry links, preparing students for media careers.
At the New Zealand Broadcasting School, our students don’t just study media, they create it.
From launching a new radio brand each year (2025’s is Kōkako), to producing original screen content featured on YouTube, to publishing real news on MetroNews, our students’ work goes live across broadcast and digital platforms. In the second year, students take things further by expanding the radio brand into a full multimedia entity that’s on air, online, on screen, and on socials. It’s a collaborative, cross-discipline project that mirrors the way the media industry works today, multi-platform, fast-paced, and full of opportunity.
