Kia Ora!

My name is Brendan English, I am passionate, hard-working and reliable. Over my last 2 years here at NZBS, I have learnt a lot about who I am as a person and where I fit in the media industry. This year has had a lot of ups and downs due to COVID but during that time I found that any task can be overcome with hard work and persistence.

This year I am majoring in Producing and Voice. I’m incredibly dedicated and focused about everything voice and producer related and so I was very excited to be given the role of Voice Manager for Tracks 96.1. This has been a challenge over the lockdown but one I feel I met. Also in 2018, I completed my Diploma of Public Speaking and Communication Performance. 

This year for my 700 project I worked on a Podcast called Amplify Aotearoa. The podcast looks at interviewing local kiwi musicians that don’t get as much mainstream media attention such as The Butlers and Run 77. Making and hosting this podcast gave me the passion for creating and finding radio content, the same passion I want to bring into the industry.
