Here at the New Zealand Broadcasting School, we run a course that involves student groups working with an external paying client to create content. The content created is designed to target a particular audience while answering client objectives. The groups are formed across the 'craft' streams of radio, screen production and journalism to blend a range of skills.
The course starts with learning business skills, the creative process, client management and collaboration. The students then work with their client to design a brief, develop a content proposal before producing a content package, which includes video, audio and written marketing material.
