Alex Vermeulen

Kia Ora, my name is Alex Vermeulen, I am 21 and currently in my 2nd year of Screen/TV at the New Zealand Broadcasting School. I have a passion for film, art and all things creative. Currently I am thoroughly enjoying my studies while I continue to discover my specialisation, however I have a huge interest in Production Design and Data Management. Anything that may affect the aesthetic of a film is something that I love to get my nose stuck into. I am also quite creative and crafty.

I recently worked on 'Metro News' as a Post Production Supervisor. This included a lot of file management as well as streamlining the entire news post worklow. I found this role incredibly enjoyable and believed I excelled at it. I have additional experience with editing, producing, 2D animation, and a lot of customer service, so I am able to cover many bases. I look forward to finishing the year and rushing out into the industry. I am currently on my restricted license however will be on my full by the end of the year.

Three words I would use to describe myself are Reliable, Determined, Groovy.

My favourite film is ‘Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian”.

Thank you.
