Abigail Hiddlestone

Kia Ora,

I'm Abigail, 25 years old, I am a mother to a 2 year old daughter and a second year Screen & Television student at the New Zealand Broadcasting school.
My past work experience has varied from working with horses to working as a kitchenhand.

When I decided I wanted to follow my passion for screen and TV  by starting my degree last year, there were some people that advised me not to. This didn't have anything to do with my own abilities, but probably more so that doing an accelerated degree with an (at the time) six-month old alongside working part-time is probably not the most ideal situation, but here we are, I've made it this far and I am very excited about putting what I have learned this far into practise, as well as developing new skills through the internship.

The area's that interest me the most are Cinematography and Editing, and this is the direction I intend to follow towards the end of my studies at the New Zealand Broadcasting School, but I am always keen to learn and get more experience in other area's as well.

I was born and raised in the Netherlands, with dual citizenship I decided to move to New Zealand in 2017.
Moving to a different country I believe has taught me to adjust as well as how to establish myself in a new environment.
With my life experience, commitment and reliability I believe I would be a great asset to your company.
(I'm also fluent in Dutch which could be a bonus if you find yourself in a situation requiring a translator).

Thank you if you took the time to read this, and I look forward to hearing from you.
