Bree Loverich is passionate about putting Christchurch and Canterbury on the international film-making map as an exciting destination in our COVID19-free environment.
Her job, was Manager at Screen CanterburyNZ (now Petrina D'Rozario) is to promote the region and assist mainly international film producers who need expert help accessing locations and expertise.
She points our 42 feature film productions were put on hold, and many other smaller productions were disrupted when COVID19 broke out, but they are now starting to come back.
The Screen CanterburyNZ office is funded through the economic development agency, ChristchurchNZ which itself is funded through the Christchurch City Council and other business, community and iwi parternships. Bree spoke to former NZBS Head, Tony Simons about the key role her office and other Regional Film Offices around New Zealand, play in encouraging new film ventures.
